The East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a 2024 Business Forum with the theme ‘Welcoming the Development of National Economic Resilience with the Red and White Cabinet’ on 27 October 2024 in Surabaya.

The event was attended by Kadin Indonesia Chairman Arsjad Rasjid and Kadin East Java Chairman Adik Dwi Putranto, as well as Kadin Regency/City Chairmen throughout East Java.

The forum aims to strengthen the synergy between business people, government, and society in encouraging the regional economy in East Java Province.

On the occasion, Adik Dwi Putranto also invited all regency / city Kadin to improve Human Resources (HR) to welcome the Golden Indonesia 2045.

‘Kadin must have a sustainable role. One of them is improving human resources. Moreover, Indonesia will face a demographic bonus starting in 2030,’ said Adik.

To face the demographic bonus, Adik continued, Kadin must join the Vocational Regional Coordination Team (TKDV) as an extension of the Vocational National Coordination Team (TKNV) programme that was previously formed by the central government and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.

‘In East Java, there is already a TKDV. In my opinion, this is the best because it is a collaboration of all stakeholders, starting from the business world, the world of education and related governments,’ he explained.

For information, TKDV East Java is an extension of TKNV to accelerate the implementation of Perpres 68/2022 in all regions in East Java. Currently, there are around 8 city district Kadins that have formed TKDV.

‘Our target for 2025 must be completed, TKDV must be formed in all city district Kadin. Because to welcome the golden Indonesia, this team is very necessary,’ he concluded.
