Jakarta, 10 October 2025 - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) once again hosted its Monthly Economic Diplomatic Breakfast at the Aryaduta Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Friday (10/10/2025). The event was attended by Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie and Minister of Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia Ferry Juliantono.
In his remarks, Anindya Novyan Bakrie emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and the government in strengthening Indonesia’s national cooperative ecosystem.
“We must support the government. Minister Ferry can certainly explain to us more about the ‘Koperasi Desa Merah Putih’ initiative. With 80,000 village-level cooperative points, we proudly promote this program whenever we go abroad. Many people express interest, and we ask why not? If we move together, this is where we truly appreciate the partnership with the government,” said Anindya, who is also known by his nickname, Anin.
Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Kadin Indonesia’s Vice Chairman for Organizational Affairs, reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to strengthening synergies with the Ministry of Cooperatives and cooperative actors across the country.
“We are enthusiastic about building this synergy together. Especially with Kadin being invited to take on a role similar to a ‘foster parent’ for our cooperative peers to help ensure the success of upcoming programs. We also appreciate that several countries are showing interest in Indonesia’s cooperative initiatives. Countries such as Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and Vietnam have even expressed a desire to visit and learn from our cooperative model,” said Taufan.
Meanwhile, Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono underlined that strengthening cooperatives is vital to creating a more equitable and competitive economic structure.
“There must be alignment between cooperative empowerment and the ‘Merah Putih Village and Urban Cooperatives Program’ initiated by the President. The program has now entered the operational phase, and we would like to invite Kadin to become a mentoring partner, alongside SOEs, in developing these cooperatives,” explained Ferry.
He further noted that collaboration among the three economic pillars the private sector, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and cooperatives is a constitutional mandate that must be realized through tangible actions.
“Cooperatives are described as the backbone of Indonesia’s economy. Now is the time for cooperatives to catch up in terms of assets, business volume, activities, and public participation. With Kadin’s collaboration, we believe the cooperative movement can grow faster and become a new force in driving Indonesia’s economy,” he concluded.
The event was also attended by Azis Syamsuddin, Kadin’s Vice Chairman Coordinator for Law, Human Rights, and Infrastructure, Rifda Ammarina, Vice Chair for Marketing, Promotion, Innovation, and MSME Product Development.
Also present were Kadin provincial leaders, including Buchari Bachter, Chairman of Kadin West Sumatra, Faurani Chairperson of Kadin West Nusa Tenggara, Muhammad Nur Rahmatu Chairman of Kadin Central Sulawesi, Muh Taslim Tammauni Chairman of Kadin West Sulawesi.
