Indonesia's Green Industry Downstream Investment Projection Reaches $545.3 Billion in 2040<\/strong><\/p>\n Opportunities in the green industry sector are huge for Indonesia and this can be seen from the projected investment value in Indonesia's downstream roads which will reach US$545.3 billion by 2040. The development of this industrial sector must be accompanied by strengthening efforts to protect the environment and efforts to implement the transition energy.<\/p>\n \"Indonesian industrial development and environmental maintenance have gone hand in hand, as evidenced by the data that President Joko Widodo wants that the rate of deforestation has dropped significantly and was the lowest in the last 20 years, forest fires have decreased by 88%, rehabilitation of 600,000 mangrove forests will be completed in 2024 and This is the largest area in the world, and 30,000 hectares of green industrial zones have been built,\" said Arsjad.<\/p>\n In addition, Indonesia is also targeting 23% of the energy sources produced to come from new and renewable energy (EBT) in 2025, and plans to close all coal power plants in 2050.<\/p>\n \"We really want to make a green and affordable energy transition for the community. For this reason, we invite everyone in this forum to work together and invest in the downstream renewable energy industry in Indonesia,\" added Arsjad.<\/p>\n Through the Hannover Messe 2023, 19 agreements were signed in the industrial sector, namely semiconductors, solar power, medical equipment, waste management, chemical industry, development of CNC milling, internet of things, digital industry, charging systems and electric vehicle batteries, investment and the region industry, energy sustainability and transition, human resources, and start-ups and innovation.<\/p>\n Opportunities for Cooperation between Indonesia-EU and ASEAN-EU Need to Continue to be Improved<\/strong><\/p>\n Apart from Germany, cooperation in the industrial sector also needs to be established between Indonesia and the EU. Data for 2022 from the Ministry of Trade noted that there were 33.2 billion dollars in total trade between Indonesia and the EU. In more detail, Indonesia's exports to the EU were recorded at US$21.5 billion and its imports were US$11.7 billion.<\/p>\n \"This shows that the cooperation between Indonesia and the EU is well established. Now the task of Indonesian business leaders is to enhance our various industrial and trade cooperation in the future with them,\" said Arsjad.<\/p>\n Arsjad Rasjid as Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) also said at the Indonesia-Germany Business Forum that another cooperation that needs to be improved is between ASEAN-EU.<\/p>\n \"The potential for the green industry in Southeast Asia still needs to be developed and needs to be explored. This exhibition tradition has been going on for 75 years and every year, one country is selected as the partner country. During this time, Indonesia has become a partner country twice, in 2021 and 2023. Hannover Messe 2023 will be held on 17-21 April 2023 in Hannover, Germany with the theme Industrial Transformation.
