Having a side business is the choice of housewives in Bandung to support husbands who work hard to earn a living for their families. This was done by Syifa Harfaidah (39) from Kebon Kopi, Cibereum, Bandung City.<\/p>\n
To supplement her family's income, Syifa has created a side-line catering business and often gets orders from her neighbours. Several years have passed, Syifa's business has never developed because her market share is not wide.<\/p>\n
In 2022, Syifa and her friends who have a hobby of cooking attend Catering Academy training with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).<\/p>\n
\"It's been a year and I've attended several trainings, I just stay at home, I accept boxed rice. After joining this program, the menu has increased, so I've offered more and more developments like this rice box to offices and thank God, there have been a lot of orders previously ordered only by neighbors,\" said Syifa to detikJabar at the Bandung City Kadin Office, Jalan Talaga Bodas, Friday (14\/4\/2023).<\/p>\n
Syifa said that since participating in the training, her knowledge of various cooking styles has increased. In addition, he also received training on how to market the products she made.<\/p>\n
\"There's a lot of training, cooking, marketing training, calculating HPP and certification. It really has an effect on income, there was an increase maybe only 50 yesterday, now it's 70 (orders), an increase of 20-30 percent,\" he said.<\/p>\n
In addition, Syifa was also facilitated to create a Business Identification Number (NIB). According to her, all the training was obtained free of charge. Thanks to that training, apart from improving his cooking qualities, he also has many arms.<\/p>\n
\"Actually, I have schools, I have neighbors, there are around 7 of them, mostly schools, because the food I make is like bento,\" She said.<\/p>\n
As the quality of her dishes has increased, Syifa also said that the prices of her dishes have also gone up and this has been accepted by customers because it is in line with the quality of the dishes.<\/p>\n
\"Rice ranges from Rp. 12,000 to Rp. 45,000. Previously, the most expensive was Rp. 20,000. Now, due to good plating and promotions, it has increased, now the maximum order is 500, previously, the neighbors were at most 20-30, at most 150, now it has increased,\" She explained.<\/p>\n
Catering Academy is one of Kadin Bandung's flagship programs and currently the implementation of this program is included in the Kadin Impact Award (KIA) assessment.<\/p>\n
\"Especially in Bandung, the program has a Catering Academy, hopefully we can win in existing competitions. If Bandung is already running, can it be carried out in other areas and made into a national program,\" said Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid in the same place.<\/p>\n
According to Arsjad, through this program the Kadin Bandung can provide guidance to MSMEs. There are around 2,700 people who are fostered and dominated by housewives.<\/p>\n
Arsjad also said, through the MSME program in Kadin Bandung, the class was increased. \"They talk, of course they can sell, from selling they go up a grade, from those who don't understand how to sell now they can sell online using the marketplace and can make large caterers who previously learned from inter-community.<\/p>\n
\"This is a part of the Kadin Impact Award, so we want to see in all urban districts in Indonesia what regional Kadin are doing, especially for MSMEs,\" She concluded.<\/p>\n
