Arsjad Rasjid, Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) announced the opening of registration for the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2023. This prestigious event recognizes and celebrates the achievements of ASEAN businesses within the region.<\/p>\n
\"ABA 2023 is not just an awards ceremony, but also a concrete expression of commitment and support from industries, MSMEs, and individuals towards progress, innovation, inclusivity, centrality, and sustainable growth in this region,\" said Arsjad Rasjid.<\/p>\n
Arsjad further emphasized that through ABA 2023, all companies, MSMEs, and individuals are welcome to participate and register as an integral part of the highly inclusive economic growth of ASEAN.<\/p>\n
Registration and Award Pillars of ASEAN Business Awards 2023<\/p>\n
Registration for ABA 2023 officially opens on May 29 and closes on July 14. For more information and details regarding the registration process for ABA 2023, interested parties can visit the website www.aseanbacindonesia.id.<\/p>\n
ABA 2023 has eight award pillars, consisting of five award pillars specifically for large corporations and MSMEs, while the other three award pillars are for individual participants. In total, there will be 13 award categories pillars covering various sectors and fields.<\/p>\n
The five pillars for large corporations and MSMEs include Digital Transformation, Sustainable Development, Food Security, Health Resilience, and Trade and Investment Facilities.<\/p>\n
These categories will be filled by 10 award categories: The Bionic Company, The Best CX (Customer Experience), Net-Zero Leader, Plastic Waste Circularity, Sustainable Crop Production, Tech for Sustainable Agriculture, Health Innovation, Corporate Health Achievement, Export Growth, and Innovative Investment.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, in the individual categories, there are three award categories: Women, Youth, and Friends of ASEAN. Each of these categories has one specific award: ASEAN Women Leader, ASEAN Under 40, and Friends of ASEAN.<\/p>\n
Eligibility Requirements for Award Nominees<\/p>\n
To participate in these awards, there are specific requirements to be fulfilled for large corporations, MSMEs, and individuals. These requirements aim to filter and find participants who possess quality, excellence, and have a significant impact on the economic growth of businesses in ASEAN.<\/p>\n
Requirements for large corporations include being registered in an ASEAN member country, having at least 50% ownership by ASEAN member countries, operating in at least two ASEAN member countries for a minimum of five years, and having an annual company revenue of over $10 million USD.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, requirements for MSMEs include having at least 50% equity ownership by ASEAN member countries, operating for a minimum of two years in at least one ASEAN member country, and having an annual SME revenue of less than $10 million USD.<\/p>\n
For individual participants, the requirements include having a minimum of three years of experience in a field relevant to ASEAN's growth and economy, as well as active involvement in community development and corporate social responsibility.<\/p>\n
Other requirements include providing a support letter from an ASEAN-based organization, ASEAN-BAC member, association, or government institution, and submitting a personal statement outlining achievements and the impact made in advancing economic growth in ASEAN.<\/p>\n
The screening and shortlisting process for selecting nominees will take place until August, involving expert judges to ensure the eligibility and excellence of the nominees. The announcement of the winners will be held on September 4, 2023, accompanied by cultural performances from ASEAN countries.<\/p>\n
Arsjad Rasjid is confident that ABA 2023 will attract a broader and more diverse range of nominations, strengthening ASEAN's economic integration and showcasing the region's strength and potential to the world. He hopes that businesses, both large corporations and MSMEs, as well as individuals in ASEAN, will seize this valuable opportunity.<\/p>\n
Before the ABA 2023 award ceremony, the ASEAN Business Investment Summit (ABIS) 2023 will also be held on September 3-4, 2023. This forum, involving government leaders, business leaders, and policymakers from ASEAN, will discuss key economic challenges in Southeast Asia and how to address them.<\/p>\n
