In order to set goals and annual work programs as well as the division of tasks for each level of the organisation, the South Kalimantan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) in Banjarmasin, Saturday (10/8/2024).
Chairperson of Kadin Kalsel, Shinta Laksmi Dewi, said that the Rapimprov raised the theme "Easy Business for Kalsel Babussalam", with the sub-theme "Ease of Licensing to Increase the Competitiveness of Advanced and Leading Kalsel Babussalam Regional Entrepreneurs".
According to her, the theme is a manifestation of Kadin's support as a strategic partner of the government in the economic sector in supporting and synergising Kadin's work programmes with government programmes, which will then become the basis for the Rapimprov to determine Kadin's Work Programme for 2024.
Shinta Laksmi also said, on 12 and 13 August 2024 there will also be a Rakorwil (Regional Coordination Meeting) in 2024 and Kadin Kalimantan Region will also host the Borneo Economic Forum which is a legacy program from the ASEAN BAC ASEAN-Business Advisory Council on 13 August 2024 at the Rattan In Banjarmasin Hotel.
The Borneo Economic Forum invites business federations or organisations from countries in the ASEAN region, particularly those bordering Kalimantan, to strengthen regional economic collaboration.
The event will be attended by delegates from Singapore Business Federation, National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Business Council, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce), Laos National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Banking Associations.
"It is hoped that through a series of Rapimprov activities, the Kalimantan Regional Coordination Meeting and the Borneo Economic Forum will be able to produce useful input in order to increase regional and national economic growth," said Shinta Laksmi.
