South Tangerang - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) together with the Banten Provincial Kadin launched the Digital Village and Kadin Indonesia MSME Corner at Jaletreng Riverpark, South Tangerang City, Banten, on Thursday (13/11/2025).
In his remarks delivered via video conference, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie stated that this initiative is a concrete example of cross-sector collaboration between the government, the business community, and local society.
According to Anin as he is commonly known this effort aligns with Kadin Indonesia’s mission to build an inclusive and equitable digital economic ecosystem.
“The digital village we launch today marks an initial step in creating a space for learning, training, and promoting local products for MSME players in South Tangerang and its surrounding areas,” Anin said.
Anin expressed hope that this program will serve as an inspiring model for other regions so that MSME digitalization can advance rapidly from the city level down to the village level.
On this occasion, Anin also emphasized that MSMEs are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, noting that more than 97% of jobs are created by MSMEs and that the sector contributes over 60% to the national GDP.
“This means that if our MSMEs are strong, Indonesia’s economy will undoubtedly be resilient,” Anin affirmed.
However, Anin pointed out that amid rapid technological change, many MSME players have not yet been able to scale up, have not entered the digital ecosystem, and still lack access to modern financing. In fact, many MSMEs still do not have a digital identity to expand their business reach.
“This is where Kadin Indonesia aims to make a difference through the Digital Village and MSME Corner programs. These initiatives represent our concrete commitment to digitalizing MSMEs from villages to cities, ensuring they not only survive but transform and grow,” Anin concluded.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chair for Food Affairs of Kadin Indonesia Mulyadi Jayabaya expressed hope that the Digital Village and the Kadin Indonesia MSME Corner would bring fresh enthusiasm. According to Mulyadi, Indonesia’s economy moves because of MSMEs.
“So let us not overlook MSMEs. With President Prabowo’s leadership today, the opportunities are extraordinary. There is great momentum, and many business activities are driven by MSMEs,” Mulyadi stated.
In the same event, Chairman of Kadin Banten Province M. Azzari Jayabaya noted that the launch of the Digital Village and Kadin Indonesia MSME Corner would not be the first and last collaboration between Kadin Indonesia and Kadin Banten. Azzari emphasized that continued collaboration would strengthen the organization and accelerate digital advancement in Indonesia.
“I am confident that under the leadership and direction of Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Bakrie, Kadin will rise and continue to rise,” Azzari concluded.
