Banda Aceh – The Aceh Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Aceh) has called for the distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) in Aceh to be more targeted, effective, and accessible to a broader range of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The call was made during the 2026 Kadin Aceh Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov), held in Banda Aceh, Aceh, on Thursday (September 24, 2026).

Chairman of Kadin Aceh Muhammad Iqbal said strengthening MSMEs requires an inclusive financing ecosystem. According to him, expanding access to financing must go hand in hand with efforts to improve the capacity and competitiveness of business players.

In addition to promoting the optimization of KUR distribution, Kadin Aceh is also calling for the acceleration of the enactment of the Aceh Sharia Financing Guarantee Institution Qanun. The instrument is considered important for expanding access to financing, particularly for MSMEs facing limited collateral.

During the Rapimprov, Kadin Aceh also discussed the readiness of human resources (HR) to respond to technological developments and the continuously evolving needs of industries.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Kadin Aceh Rapimprov Teuku Jailani Yacob said continuous efforts to improve HR competencies are necessary to ensure that workers can keep pace with technological developments and the needs of the business community.

“Competencies must continuously be adapted to changing times and increasingly automated digital technology. Competent and competitive human resources must be prepared to take advantage of available employment opportunities,” Teuku Jailani said.

He added that a mismatch between workers’ competencies and industry needs could create employment-related challenges while making it more difficult for companies to recruit suitable workers.

The 2026 Kadin Aceh Rapimprov was chaired by Iskandar as the Permanent Chair of the Plenary Session, with Teuku Yusuf serving as Chairman of the Steering Committee (SC) and Teuku Jailani Yacob as Chairman of the Organizing Committee (OC).

The forum served as a platform for Kadin Aceh to consolidate and formulate business community priorities, particularly concerning MSME development, access to financing, HR competency development, and stronger partnerships between the business community and regional governments.
