Palangkaraya – The 2026 Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Central Kalimantan) was officially held on Thursday (September 24, 2026). The event was also held as part of the commemoration of Kadin Indonesia’s 58th anniversary at the Jayang Tingang Hall in Palangkaraya.

Chairman of Kadin Central Kalimantan Rahmat Nasution Hamka reaffirmed his commitment to making Kadin a common home for all business players by embracing the philosophy of Huma Betang.

Kadin Central Kalimantan is ready to strengthen collaboration, help local entrepreneurs move up the value chain, and strengthen the resilience of regional supply chains, particularly in the food and horticulture sectors.

Marking Kadin’s 58th anniversary, Rahmat also called on all members and Kadin regency/city chapters across Central Kalimantan to reflect on the organization’s role, particularly its contribution to the business community, the benefits it provides to members, and efforts to strengthen the regional economy.

“A large organization is not measured solely by its age and organizational structure. A great organization is one that is capable of providing benefits to everyone,” he said.

Meanwhile, Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo emphasized that regional economic growth should not be measured solely by statistical figures, but must also be genuinely felt by all segments of society.

Edy Pratowo said the government cannot work alone to build a sustainable and equitable regional economy.

Active involvement from the business community is crucial, with Kadin playing an important role as a strategic partner representing business players, from MSMEs to large corporations.

He explained that the direction of regional economic development is aligned with the President’s Asta Cita as well as Central Kalimantan’s development vision and mission. A growing economy, he said, must deliver tangible impacts on the ground.

“A growing regional economy must be able to absorb local workers, reduce unemployment, reduce poverty, and improve people’s welfare. Ultimately, this is expected to improve the dignity and quality of life of the people of Central Kalimantan,” Edy said.

In addition to economic development, the Deputy Governor also called on Kadin and business players to actively participate in efforts to address forest and land fires.

According to him, mitigating the impacts of forest and land fire disasters requires concern and a spirit of mutual cooperation from all elements of the region.
