The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council (ABAC) together with Kadin Indonesia will hold the ABAC Meeting I 2026. This meeting is a strategic forum that brings together business leaders from 21 APEC member economies to formulate business policy recommendations to be submitted to APEC Economic Leaders.
In organising the ABAC Meeting I 2026 with the theme ‘Openness, Connectivity, Synergy’, Indonesia has initiated the strengthening of the focus on Connectivity as the main strategic agenda for ABAC 2026. This initiative was conceived by the Chair of ABAC Indonesia and Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya N. Bakrie, and is in line with the priorities emphasised by China as Chair of APEC 2026.
ABAC Meeting I 2026 will be held on:

at Shangri-La, Jakarta, Indonesia
ABAC Meeting I 2026 is being organised as part of a series of events leading up to the APEC CEO Summit 2026, which will be held on 14-16 November 2026 in Shenzhen, China.
ABAC Meeting I 2026 will discuss five main topics divided into four working groups and one task force:

Indonesia encourages this forum to become a catalyst for strengthening trade, investment, and economic collaboration that is more open and sustainable in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region. All discussions in the meeting will result in policy recommendations that will be submitted to the governments of APEC countries and APEC Economic Leaders at the end of the series of meetings. Following the meeting in Jakarta, the 2026 ABAC series will continue with ABAC Meeting II in Mexico City, Mexico (22–25 April 2026), ABAC Meeting III in Pattaya, Thailand (7–10 July 2026), and ABAC Meeting IV in Shenzhen, China (14–16 November 2026).
