In the context of carbon trading in Indonesia based on Presidential Regulation 98/2021, Kadin Indonesia positively assesses the development of public awareness and concern in calculating the carbon footprint generated from production processes, economic activities and daily activities. The efforts of the community, including the business world, to participate in GHG reduction efforts are also highly expected and need to be encouraged to support the Government in fulfilling its commitment in the Paris Agreement to achieve net zero emission in 2060 or earlier.
To support the above initiatives, Kadin Indonesia will organise a discussion on "Carbon Footprint and Climate Action Ecosystem". The discussion aims to explore various concrete measures and programmes related to Climate Action that can be implemented to reduce carbon footprints at the individual, household, community, corporate, and/or national levels, as well as evaluate the potential impact of each proposed measure or programme in reducing carbon emissions. In addition to generating innovative ideas and solutions, this discussion is also expected to encourage collaboration between stakeholders to formulate effective action plans in facing the challenges of climate change.
