The National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) together with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) organised The International Battery Summit (IBS) 2024 with the theme: ‘Future Battery Technology from Upstream to Downstream to Accelerate Clean Energy Transition’.

Topics covered in this Battery Summit 2024 include advanced battery technologies ranging from critical minerals, mining, battery manufacturing, to various energy storage applications for renewable energy and electric vehicles to recycling towards a circular economy.

The current state of the global battery and electric vehicle industry was presented by experts, involving policy makers, ministerial regulatory bodies, standardisation bodies, and others. Indonesia's roadmap to become one of the major players for global producers of battery materials and electric vehicle industry will be steered by government representatives.
