Chairman of Kadin Indonesia and Chair of ASEAN-BAC, Arsjad Rasjid held a meeting with Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh and Chair of ASEAN-BAC Vietnam and Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nguyen Quang Vinh (5/9/2023). The meeting discussed efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in the economic and trade sectors. In 2022, trade relations between Indonesia and Vietnam experienced a significant increase. The total trade volume reached USD 13.31 billion or increased by around 20.3 per cent compared to the previous year, with exports reaching USD 8.49 billion and imports amounting to USD 4.82 billion. Indonesia's main export commodities to Vietnam include vehicles, mineral fuels, rubber, palm oil, and organic chemical products, while Indonesia imports telephones, iron, propylene, television sets, and leather.
