The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) encourages the role of women in realising the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Women are agents of change who have the power to reduce inequality and increase justice around the world. On the other hand, women still have to fight against structural barriers that hinder their full participation in all aspects of life.
This became the main topic of discussion in the side event Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024, an international conference of Nura Women's Institute involving Kadin Indonesia on September 6, 2024.
The event is expected to be a strong platform to build collaboration among the government, private sector, civil society, and academia.
These groups have an important role to play in eliminating challenges to gender equality and promoting positive social transformation.
This platform for cross-generational and cross-cultural dialogue on the role of women in the SDGs encourages the creation of policies and initiatives that support the integration of women in the sustainable development agenda.
