ALFI CONVEX 2025 Officially Launched, Kadin Ready to Collaborate in Addressing Logistics Challenges to Achieve 8% Economic Growth

Jakarta – The Central Board of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) officially launched ALFI CONVEX 2025, which will take place on November 12–14, 2025, at Hall 3–3A, ICE BSD, South Tangerang.

With the theme “Indonesia in Motion: Logistics Transformation Towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” the event is expected to serve as a strategic forum bringing together policymakers, industry players, associations, investors, and exhibitors from both domestic and international circles.

Carmelita Hartoto, Vice Chair Coordinator for Infrastructure and Regional Development at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), expressed Kadin’s full support for ALFI CONVEX 2025.

“Through open and participatory dialogue, we want to ensure that CONVEX 2025 becomes a momentum for collaboration between businesses, government, and academia to address real logistics challenges—from infrastructure and regulation to digitalizing the national supply chain,” said Carmelita during the launch held at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in South Jakarta on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Carmelita emphasized that national economic growth and logistics sector development are inseparably linked.

“Without an efficient logistics system, distribution will be hampered, causing price hikes that reduce purchasing power and ultimately slow economic growth,” she said.

“On the other hand, efficient logistics means faster goods distribution, price stability, and maintained consumer purchasing power—fostering economic growth. Logistics is the backbone of national economic activity,” she added.

Carmelita also noted significant progress in the logistics sector, highlighting that Indonesia’s national logistics costs have decreased to 14.29% of GDP.

“This figure (14.29%) is a positive development, though we still have work to do. The government has set a target to bring logistics costs down to 8% of GDP by the Golden Indonesia era,” she explained.

However, she warned that achieving this target is no simple task. Logistics, she said, is a complex end-to-end process involving numerous stakeholders—from planning and manufacturing to warehousing, packaging, and final delivery.

“To improve logistics efficiency in support of our 8% economic growth target, we must involve all stakeholders—government, port operators, transportation and logistics companies, as well as industry associations,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, expressed appreciation and affirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the national logistics sector in the face of global challenges and in realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

“Logistics transformation is an integral part of President Prabowo’s Asta Cita Program, particularly the third mission focused on infrastructure development. For this reason, a major transformation of the logistics sector is key,” said Minister Airlangga.

Chairman of ALFI’s Central Board, M. Akbar Djohan, added that ALFI CONVEX 2025 represents the logistics sector’s tangible contribution to supporting national economic transformation.

“We believe that logistics is at the heart of the transformation towards Golden Indonesia 2045. ALFI CONVEX 2025 is a concrete step to advance national logistics, because an efficient and integrated logistics system is the foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” Akbar affirmed.

ALFI CONVEX 2025 is expected to feature more than 150 exhibitors, over 100 national and international speakers from leading logistics experts, and attract more than 5,000 visitors from various professional backgrounds.

Conference topics will include logistics efficiency and supply chain digitalization, logistics investment and financing, energy transition and sustainability, port competitiveness strategies, and logistics synergy with e-commerce, fisheries, and tourism sectors.

Also in attendance at the launch were other Kadin Indonesia officials, including Teguh Anantawikrama (Vice Chair for Technology Transformation, MSMEs and Digital Affairs) and Sanny Iskandar (Vice Chair for Agrarian Affairs, Spatial Planning, and Regional Economic Development).
