Samarinda - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of East Kalimantan Province held its Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov), combined with the inauguration of the East Kalimantan Kadin board for the 2025–2030 term, in Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan, on Monday (March 2, 2026).
Chairman of Kadin Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie expressed his appreciation for the East Kalimantan Kadin Rapimprov being held in the Nusantara Capital City area.
Bakrie, commonly known as Anin, said that Kadin Indonesia together with East Kalimantan Kadin has an important role in supporting the various development projects currently underway in the area.
“Kadin Indonesia together with Kadin East Kalimantan certainly wants to support the development of IKN, considering that many projects are still underway—from the construction of parliament and judicial facilities to landscaping, as well as maintenance and related industrial services,” Anin said.
Anin also highlighted plans to develop renewable energy in East Kalimantan, which is targeted to reach a capacity of around 1,700 megawatts (MW) by 2030. According to him, this presents significant opportunities for the business community to contribute to the development of infrastructure and the energy industry in the region.
“There will be a great deal of infrastructure built in IKN. As Chairman of Kadin, I truly appreciate the efforts that have been made and thank all parties for their commitment to advancing development in East Kalimantan,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chairwoman of East Kalimantan Kadin Putri Amanda Nurrahmadani stated that the province has significant natural resource potential, making Kadin’s role crucial in accelerating regional economic growth.
“Our commitment in Kadin is to promote an inclusive business climate in East Kalimantan, in line with the progress of IKN’s development,” she said.
Furthermore, East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas’ud emphasized that the inauguration of the East Kalimantan Kadin board was not merely ceremonial, but rather a strategic momentum to strengthen the consolidation of regional economic forces amid global dynamics.
“This is a strategic momentum. East Kalimantan Kadin must take on the role and responsibility to produce entrepreneurs who are not only locally competitive but also capable of competing internationally,” he said.
On the same occasion, Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority Basuki Hadimuljono added that the government, through the IKN Authority, plays a role in drafting regulations and providing financing through the state budget (APBN). However, he noted that job creation will largely be driven by the business sector.
“From the Authority and the APBN side, our role is mainly in regulation and financing, but those who create jobs are businesses and Kadin. Therefore, this collaboration must continue,” he said.
Basuki emphasized that collaboration between the government and the business sector is essential in the development of IKN, while upholding the principles of transparency, competence, and fair competition.
“So if we carry out projects, we must follow the existing regulations, with transparency, competence, and competition. I believe that is what we will continue to do,” Basuki said.
Also present at the event were several leaders of Kadin Indonesia, including Coordinating Vice Chairman for Legal Affairs, Human Rights, and Infrastructure M. Azis Syamsuddin; Vice Chairman for Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho; Vice Chairman for Membership Widiyanto Saputro; Vice Chairman for Kalimantan Region Andi Yuslim Patawari; and Vice Chairman for Exporter Development and Coordination Frits Novianto Suhendar.
