The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) is organising the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2023, honouring businesses and individuals that promote innovation, sustainability and inclusiveness in the ASEAN region. The awards are a testament to best practices, innovative strategies, and a commitment to excellence.

ABA 2023 attracted more than 700 submissions from corporations, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and individuals from countries in the ASEAN region. A total of 26 best entries with 13 categories were awarded to corporations and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as individuals from the region, at the ABA 2023 awarding night held at the Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place Hotel, Jakarta (4/9/2023).

Important Pillar
The business world is one of the important pillars to advance the ASEAN economy. Indonesia is at the forefront of giving appreciation to those who are considered meritorious in various economic sectors.

ASEAN-BAC consistently gives appreciation to business people who have been the driving force of companies and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). They have created positive performance, innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth in ASEAN.

With the theme "Uniting Visions, Driving Growth," ABA 2023 consists of eight award pillars, including five pillars that are specific to large companies and MSMEs. Meanwhile, the other three pillars are for individual categories.

Award Categories
Overall, there are 13 award categories in various sectors and fields. The five pillars for companies and MSMEs consist of the pillars of Digital Transformation, Sustainable Development, Food Security, Health Security, Trade and Investment Facilitation, and three pillars for individuals.

This pillar includes 10 award categories, namely Digital Innovation, The Best CX, Net-Zero Leader, Plastic Waste Circularity, Sustainable Crop Production, Tech for Sustainable Agriculture, Health Innovation, Corporate Health Achievement, Export Growth, and Innovative Investment. In addition, this pillar also includes 3 award categories for individuals consisting of ASEAN Women Leader, ASEAN Under 40, and Friends of ASEAN Awards.

Entering its 17th year, ASEAN-BAC consistently continues to strengthen industry leadership, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen global recognition. In addition to conferring awards, ABA 2023 is also a showcase for the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the ASEAN region.
