As a form of commitment to realize transparent, efficient and sustainable government procurement, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) will hold the second e-catalogue exhibition, Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) at JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta on May 29-31, 2024.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut B. Pandjaitan in his remarks at the ICEF opening ceremony at JIEXPO Kemayoran (29/5) appreciated this event as a form of the Government's commitment to encourage increasingly inclusive economic growth with the foundation of digital transformation formulated in Electronic Catalogs implemented by all business actors.
Coordinating Minister for Marves Luhut B. Pandjaitan assessed that digital transformation efforts are the foundation in accelerating the development of Indonesia towards the Golden Indonesia 2045, that the nation's economic independence will be quickly realized if the transformation of digital services can be integrated by all relevant Ministries and Institutions including the business world. Therefore, Luhut said that his party will continue to coordinate the acceleration of Government digitalization in Ministries and Institutions under his supervision.
As an implementation of the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) number 17 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Digital Transformation in the Field of Government Procurement of Goods and Services, the development of E-Catalog version 6, has been implemented in 5 Ministries / Institutions / Regional Governments as piloting. The five are the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek), LKPP, the Provincial Governments of DKI Jakarta and Central Java.
The ICEF event is one of the means to socialize the use of E-Catalog version 6, which is the latest version launched by the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) as a result of the digital transformation of goods and services procurement which aims to further improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability and transparency in the process of goods and services procurement transactions in government.
Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid said, digital transformation implemented through E-Catalog version 6, is expected to create a more inclusive and competitive procurement system, so that in addition to answering user needs, it also encourages an increase in the competitiveness of national MSMEs.
“This activity is very important, in addition to increasing business transaction opportunities from government spending, it also provides national entrepreneurs with new insights related to the current trend of government goods and services needs. Kadin hopes that national entrepreneurs, especially MSMEs, can benefit from E-Catalog,” said Arsjad Rasjid.
Electronic catalog is an electronic information system that contains lists, types, technical specifications, and the level of domestic components (TKDN). This includes domestic products, Indonesian National Standard (SNI) products, green industry products, country of origin, prices, providers, and other information related to goods and services.
Head of LKPP, Hendrar Prihadi said, E-Catalog version 6 is a significant step forward that facilitates stakeholders in conducting transactions or government spending. “Through the new E-Katalog features, users will be able to find the required product information faster, make payments and monitor the ongoing transaction process,” said Hendrar Prihadi.
Occupying an area of 2500 m2, ICEF 2024 presents around 150 exhibitors from various business sectors, such as health, information technology, fashion, shipping, vehicles, electronics, office equipment, textiles, food and beverages to internet service provider (ISP). The enthusiasm of business players at the ICEF 2024 event can also be seen from the addition of product categories from increasingly varied business players including road sweepers, logistics, heavy equipment, toner cartridges, infrastructure and buildings and manufacturing.
In addition to the socialization of E-Catalog implementation, ICEF 2024 Committee Chairperson Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono said that during the three-day exhibition starting from 10:00 to 17:00 WIB, business players and Government buyers will interact and negotiate through various events, such as seminars, business matching, consultations, workshops, technical guidance, and talk shows presenting resource persons from related agencies.
A number of seminar themes raised include discussing Encouraging the Readiness of Business Actors to Meet Aspects of Sustainable Procurement in order to Increase the Competitiveness of National Business Actors; Governance of Goods / Services Procurement in the Region through the Implementation of Digitalization of Goods / Services Procurement; Draft Law on Public Procurement of Goods and Services (PBJ Bill); and Optimizing the Use of Local E-Catalog in the Context of Improving the Regional Economy and Supporting Inclusive Economic Growth.
