The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) will again hold the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) exhibition at JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta on 29-31 May 2024.
ICEF 2024 is an exhibition engaged in government procurement of goods/services (PBJP), and is held to increase the participation of micro, small and cooperative enterprises (MSEs) and increase the use of domestic products (PDN) in PBJP, in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2022.
With the theme ‘Potential of Domestic Products in National Development’, the ICEF 2024 exhibition will bring together Ministries/Institutions/Regional Governments (K/L/PD) as users of goods/services with business actors directly to encourage more widespread use of domestic products. This exhibition is also an opportunity for users of goods/services who want to fulfil their needs at IKN.
Head of LKPP RI, Hendrar Prihadi said ICEF 2024, which was held for the second time this year, also aims to promote and increase the contribution of the domestic industrial sector. In addition to this, this event is also a medium to socialise the latest regulations and the newly launched Electronic Catalogue Version 6.0 with PT Telkom Indonesia through the GovTech Procurement unit.
According to Hendrar Prihadi, Electronic Catalogue Version 6.0 is a significant step forward for LKPP to provide convenience to its stakeholders in conducting transactions or government spending.
‘Compared to the previous system, through E-Catalogue Version 6.0, the public can monitor the government procurement process much better. Prices, product specifications, and pictures can be seen by anyone. It is hoped that this new feature will improve efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and accountability in the procurement transaction process,’ Mr Hendi said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid said that as the main representative of business organisations in Indonesia, Kadin has the responsibility to support and strengthen the country's economy. The ICEF event, said Arsjad, is one of the concrete steps in realising the commitment to promote local products and services through digitalisation and the E-Catalogue procurement system.
ICEF 2024 Committee Chairperson Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono said that during the three-day exhibition, which runs all day from 10am to 5pm, business players and government buyers will interact and negotiate through various events, such as seminars, business matching, consultations, workshops, technical guidance, and talk shows featuring resource persons from relevant agencies.
‘We will also invite 98 members of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) consisting of heads of city governments throughout Indonesia and 38 provincial members of the Association of Indonesian Provincial Governments (APPSI) as visitors as well as various other government institutions,’ said Kukrit.
