As a form of appreciation for corporations that care about the environment, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of DKI Jakarta Province will give awards in the "Anugerah Lingkungan Hidup Kadin DKI 2023" event, at the DKI Jakarta Kadin Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) IV 2023 at Flores Ballroom, Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, 21 November 2023.

"This award is a form of appreciation from Kadin DKI Jakarta to corporations that have been paying attention to the environment," said Chair of Kadin DKI Jakarta, Diana Dewi, in a press statement, in Jakarta, Tuesday (14/11/2023).

According to her, this award is also a form of support for corporations to preserve the city of Jakarta, which is an inseparable part of the progress of the business world. "Attention to environmental and sustainability aspects is also not just a matter of ethical obligations to the earth, but about long-term business sustainability," said Diana.

The 2023 Kadin DKI Jakarta Environmental Award is expected to encourage businesses to practice sustainable business and strengthen collaboration between the government, private sector, and society in realising a better environment.

In addition, the event, which collaborates with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Agency, is expected to increase public, company and institutional awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.

Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Rapimprov IV 2023 Kadin DKI Jakarta, Andi Anzhar Cakra Wijaya, explained that the 2023 Kadin DKI Environmental Award took the theme "Sustainable Commitment".

This theme was inspired by the trembesi tree which is full of benefits and has a deep meaning. Therefore, Anugerah Lingkungan Hidup Kadin DKI Jakarta 2023 uses the Trembesi Tree as its logo. Even the trophy at this prestigious event is in the form of a replica of a trembesi tree.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Agency Asep Kuswanto appreciated the DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce's move to organise Anugerah Lingkungan Hidup 2023. The collaboration between Kadin DKI Jakarta and the Jakarta Provincial Government is expected to make the business climate in Jakarta more environmentally friendly.
