The Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) encourages all its members to create zero work accidents. To that end, Kadin Jakarta collaborated with the Central Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry to hold an Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Training entitled ‘Improving Performance for the Creation of a Productive Work Environment’.
This K3 training is expected to improve the quality of human resources from the business world to face Jakarta Global City, as well as reduce the accident rate at the work site. ‘The achievement of zero work accidents benefits employers and companies,’ said Chair Kadin Jakarta, Diana Dewi in her statement, Tuesday (23/7/2024).
Diana explained, the purpose and benefit of K3 training is that participants can know the duties and obligations in implementing the requirements of K3 systems and processes in the workplace, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
This K3 training was held in the framework of the DKI Jakarta Kadin Musda which was held in 2024. The K3 training was attended by 20 participants consisting of workers and companies in Central Jakarta City.
Central Jakarta Kadin Chairman, RH Victor Aritonang said the idea of the Kadin to hold the K3 training was very appropriate because it could provide enlightenment for the workforce as well as companies and entrepreneurs.
‘For entrepreneurs, this OSH training is very strategic because they have a big interest in advancing their business,’ he said.
The OSH training elaborates on organisational responsibilities and authorities, knowing the guidance and supervision of OSH at the company level.
‘If all components in the company, both workers, management and others can understand about OSH, of course there will be zero accidents and this is very beneficial for employers and companies,’ he said.
The OHS training presented speakers from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), Perdana Putra and from PT Delta Consultant/Training Safety Indonesia, S Enggarwati.
