Kadin Optimistic that Investment in IKN will Continue

Entrepreneurs are optimistic that the IKN development process will continue. The resignation of the Head and Deputy Head of the Nusantara National Capital Authority (OIKN) will not disrupt investment.

Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for Regional Autonomy Development Sarman Simanjorang said that entrepreneurs continue to support the development of IKN.

“The development of IKN must continue as a modern city that symbolizes the achievement of the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision,” Sarman said, Tuesday (4/6/2024).

According to him, the resignation of OIKN Head Bambang Susantono and Deputy Head of OIKN Dhony Rahadjoe will not interfere with the IKN project.

The business world sees that changes in leadership do not change sustainability. Moreover, the achievement of IKN development to date has reached 80 percent of phase I development.

“Moreover, those who replace are the Minister of PUPR (Public Works and Public Housing) and Deputy Minister of ATR / BPN (Agrarian Spatial Planning / National Land Agency) who are also committed to ensuring the development of IKN,” Sarman explained.

Sarman hopes that with the entry of PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Deputy Minister of ATR / BPN Raja Juli Antoni, the level of confidence of investors and potential investors in the sustainability of IKN development will be maintained.
