Kadin and Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Strengthen Digital Synergy to Boost Business-Driven Economic Growth

Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), together with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Ministry of PANRB), held a coordination meeting for the working group (pokja) on government system digitalization at Menara Kadin Indonesia, South Jakarta, on Friday (November 14, 2025).

Kadin Indonesia’s Vice Chairman for Technology Transformation, MSMEs, and Digitalization, Teguh Anantawikrama, stated that both institutions have agreed to establish a dedicated task force to oversee the implementation of government digitalization. The agreement serves as a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding previously signed by the two parties.

"Today we have agreed to form a task force so that we can take concrete steps moving forward," Teguh said.

He emphasized that digital transformation within government institutions has a significant impact on the business sector. According to him, improvements in the ease of doing business are closely linked to the simplification and acceleration of government services.

Teguh explained that the collaboration between Kadin Indonesia and the Ministry of PANRB is part of efforts to realize President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of strengthening economic growth driven by business activities. He stressed the need to shift the economic engine from government spending toward investment and active private-sector participation.

"This is essentially an effort to realize what the President wants that 80% of economic growth should be driven by the business sector. Previously, the growth driver was government consumption government spending. Now we aim to shift the driver toward investment and the dynamism of the business community," Teguh explained.

He added that the success of digital transformation requires support across ministries. The government has also established the Digital Transformation Committee to determine priority services and policies that must be prepared immediately.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of PANRB’s Deputy for Government Digital Transformation, Cahyono Tri Birowo, stated that the agreement between the Ministry and Kadin Indonesia represents a concrete step toward improving the ease of doing business and strengthening the integration of digital government services.

"Today we are essentially realizing what the government has envisioned collaboration between the government and society, cooperation," Cahyono said.

He explained that the collaboration will focus on two major agendas: formulating governance and policies that support business facilitation, and identifying government digital service integrations relevant to the needs of business actors.

"These two aspects will guide our activity planning for 2025, ensuring alignment with specific use cases and targets. We aim to actualize the collaboration in 2026 and we may even begin joint activities earlier, perhaps in mid or early 2026," he noted.

Cahyono expressed hope that the collaboration will serve as a model for other sectors in strengthening partnerships between government, business, and the wider community.

"If earlier we talked about 80% driven by the business sector, then achieving 8% economic growth could also be supported through collaboration among government, the private sector, and society," he concluded.
