Gorontalo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Partners with Pegadaian to Empower MSMEs Through Innovative Financial Services

Gorontalo - To strengthen the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ecosystem and support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program, the Gorontalo Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has entered into a strategic partnership with PT Pegadaian's Gorontalo Branch.

The partnership was officially announced during a Pegadaian product outreach event held at Café 11.12 in Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province, on Saturday (July 12, 2025).

The event was attended by Jasin Mohammad, Vice Chairman for Licensing, Investment, Export Development, and Capital Markets of Kadin Gorontalo, representing Kadin Gorontalo Chairman Muhalim Litty. Other speakers included Yunizel Kalo from Pegadaian’s Suluttenggo-Malut-Papua Regional Office and Rezki Octavian, Head of Pegadaian Sentral Gorontalo.

“This partnership is not just about business synergy, but a tangible step in helping MSMEs scale up through access to Pegadaian’s broad and innovative services,” said Jasin.

He added that Kadin Gorontalo will mentor Pegadaian's MSME partners, and those who demonstrate significant success may be recruited into the Kadin Gorontalo leadership team.

Pegadaian products that can benefit MSMEs include Gold savings accounts (Tabungan Emas), Kreasi (working capital loans), Amanah (vehicle financing), Arrum Haji and Arrum Safar (sharia-based pilgrimage financing), Mulia (gold installment financing).

All these services will be integrated into Kadin Gorontalo’s extensive membership network, which is known for its strong presence in the MSME sector.

Jasin also mentioned that a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kadin Gorontalo and Pegadaian will be signed soon to solidify the collaboration.

“We believe this collaboration will be mutually beneficial, particularly in opening new economic access for MSME players,” Jasin emphasized.
