Palembang - The South Sumatra Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening regional business connectivity and facilitating the mobility of business actors through a strategic partnership with national airline PT Garuda Indonesia.
This initiative was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), carried out directly by the Chairman of Kadin South Sumatra, Affandi Udji, along with the board of directors and the management of Garuda Indonesia’s Palembang branch. The signing took place at the Garuda Indonesia Palembang Office on Thursday (July 3, 2025).
This partnership represents a concrete follow-up to the agreement previously established between Kadin Indonesia and Garuda Indonesia at the national level. It also marks Kadin South Sumatra as the first provincial chamber in Indonesia to implement this collaboration at the regional level.
As part of the agreement, Garuda Indonesia will provide a range of exclusive benefits for Kadin South Sumatra members and executives. These include special airfare rates for business travel, streamlined reservation and customer service support, as well as priority access to services that enhance business and investment activities.
“Connectivity is a key driver of business growth. Through the synergy between Kadin South Sumatra and Garuda Indonesia, we aim to ensure that business players in South Sumatra can move more freely, expand their networks, and seize new investment opportunities both nationally and internationally,” said Affandi Udji.
He further stated that this collaboration is expected to serve as a starting point for broader cross-sector partnerships, while also reinforcing South Sumatra’s position as a proactive region in fostering a competitive and collaborative business climate.
Moving forward, Kadin South Sumatra plans to expand similar partnerships with various State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and private sector stakeholders to strengthen a highly integrated and competitive business ecosystem.
