Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) received a visit from a delegation of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce represented by the Association of Guangdong-Indonesia for the Promotion of Trade at Kadin Indonesia Tower, South Jakarta, on Thursday (05/06/2025).
The event was attended by Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, Kadin Indonesia Deputy Chairman for Export Development Juan Permata Adoe and Kadin Indonesia Deputy Chairman for Export Development and Coordination Frits Novianto Suhendar.
Meanwhile, members of the Chinese delegation came from entrepreneurs from various industrial sectors, ranging from hotel furniture, high-rise building construction, metal products, new energy vessels, to environmentally friendly coating systems.
When meeting and handing over souvenirs to the President of the Association of Guangdong-Indonesia foe the Promotion of Trade, Andy Guo, Anindya Novyan Bakrie or Anin as he is familiarly called expressed his hope that the cooperation relationship will be closer and more sustainable, especially to support the development of Indonesian exports to China.
‘Hopefully in the future the cooperation between Kadin Indonesia and business partners from China (especially the Association of Guangdong-Indonesia for the Promotion of Trade), can be established even better in various other business fields,’ Anin said.
In line with Anin, WKUK for Export Development Juan Permata Adoe highlighted the importance of collaboration between Indonesia and China in strategic sectors such as electric vehicle manufacturing, the marine industry, and exports of Indonesia's leading commodities.
‘The second interesting manufacturing industry in Indonesia that is currently being prepared by the government is the electrical EV industry,’ said Juan.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining marine sustainability and suppressing the practice of fish theft. ‘The third is the marine industry. Our marine industry is looking for solutions. We have to keep the intervention of fish theft from happening again between China and Indonesia,’ he said.
In terms of marine products, Juan emphasised the export opportunities to China.
‘We have the largest baby lobster in Asia, in Indonesia. This can be done (as an export opportunity) in the form of lobster seeds, then we can also export to the United States,’ Juan explained.
Juan added that he also sees great opportunities in durian exports to China.
‘So please consider for the generation of friends here to see that durian is a very good business. Because Indonesia is the largest producer of durian,’ he said.
Furthermore, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Export Development and Coordination Unit Frits Novianto Suhendar emphasised that Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the concrete steps to strengthen the synergy between the two countries' business players.
‘We believe this cooperation will encourage the increase of national export value and industrial transformation through technological innovation,’ said Frits.
Furthermore, President of the Guangdong-Indonesia Association for the Promotion of Trade, Andy Guo, also expressed his delegation's interest in learning about Indonesia's practices in community building, social responsibility and business collaboration with Kadin Indonesia. ‘(Let's) together,’ Andy said.
