Technological advances are unstoppable, and affect many positive sides in various ways, including the development of the business world.
The Covid 19 pandemic that occurred some time ago, forced business people to use online sales systems, in their business transactions, and could even increase more than 300% of transactions. Online sales are part of the world of digitalisation, in addition to several other items including digital financial services, digital financial reporting, and others.
As it is known that business actors in Indonesia are dominated by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) where 99.62% are micro businesses.
The two main weaknesses of MSME players in entering the Digital world are the lack of digitalisation competence and not having adequate digital support facilities.
Until the end of 2023, there will be 25 million MSME players entering the digital world, where the target in 2024 is 30 million MSMEs entering the digital world.
Kadin Indonesia, which is a strategic partner of the Government, under the leadership of Arsjad Rasjid as Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, focuses on fostering and developing MSME players.
In order to support the government's programme in accessing MSME players into the digital world, through the Kadin Indonesia MSME and Cooperative Development Agency, has the Kadin Indonesia Digital Village programme.
This program is a form of solution for MSME players who have weaknesses in digitalisation competencies and inadequate facilities.
Kadin Indonesia Digital Village is an area or area at least at the sub-district level, where there is a location designated as the secretariat for providing guidance in the form of training in various competencies that are dominant in the field of digitalisation and marketing development of MSME products.
The Kadin Indonesia Digital Village Secretariat will have various facilities that support online sales and other digitalisation, including digital finance.
Kadin Indonesia always mediates the various needs and interests of MSME players, with various parties, especially the Government, large business actors and other parties, including mediating with the Kadin Indonesia Digital Village programme. Inclusive collaboration is important for all parties in fostering and developing MSMEs, where MSMEs have been proven to make a major contribution to the Indonesian economy.
Head Department of Kadin Indonesia's MSME and Cooperative Development, Raden Tedy, stated that Kadin Indonesia's Digital Village will provide real contributions in terms of digital literacy, various other competencies and marketing of MSME products on an ongoing basis, not just a momentary programme. In addition, Digital Marketing Management (DMM) will also be formed in each Kadin Indonesia Digital Village, which will help MSME players who are still having difficulties in online sales.
DMM will help open online sales accounts in each application (all online shops), including assisting in promotion and sales. Each DMM officer will foster a maximum of 20 MSME players for 6 months, and it is hoped that after that MSME players can be independent in the digital world, and even these MSME players are expected to help other MSMEs.
The Kadin Indonesia MSME and Cooperative Development Department will create a Kadin Indonesia Digital Village Pilot Project, in collaboration with the Kadin of West Java Province, with a location in Jatibening Baru, Bekasi City, which will be launched on Saturday, 3 August 2024, starting at 06.00 WIB until 13.00 WIB, with various events, including a bazaar of MSME products, which will be attended by the Bekasi Mayor, Sub-District Head and other Bekasi City government officials.
The Kadin Indonesia Digital Village Pilot Project is expected to be a pilot and will be made in each region by their respective Regional Kadin.
