The East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) received a visit from PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) East Java Regional Office, Bali and Nusa Tenggara who wanted to explore financing collaboration for industries in various sectors, Tuesday (9/7/1024).

A number of potentials that can be worked on are quite a lot, in addition to financing for MSMEs through the People's Business Credit (KUR) facility with interest rates starting from 6% per year and also for industrial financing through Working Capital Loans and Investment Loans with interest rates of 9-13.75% per year.

"We hope that through this step, an increase in working capital and investment loans will be achieved. This year, the contribution of working capital loans and investment loans is targeted to grow by around 30-40%," said Deputy Regional Manager of BTN's East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Regional Office Carly Tambunan.

Carly said, the realisation of BTN credit in East Java Bali and Nusa Tenggara this year, June 2024 the realisation of working capital and investment loans has reached Rp. 454.3 billion, growing 19.21% YoY.

Chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adik Dwi Putranto welcomed the idea. He revealed that so far financing has indeed been a problem for businesses, whether micro, small, medium or large. So this cooperation will be a financing solution for them.

"In Kadin, there are two memberships, firstly extraordinary members, which are associations or associations of entrepreneurs, and ordinary members, which are business people from various industries. These are potential customers that BTN can tap into," said Adik.

Stenven Lasawengen, Vice Chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that there are many sectors that BTN can synergise with. In shipping, for example, there are 11 derivative business units, all of which need financial support.

"For example, for the purchase of containers. Every two years, shipping companies buy around 4,000 containers. If BTN can enter here, it would be great," he said.

Meanwhile, Sulami Bahar, Vice Chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Excise and Tobacco Products, said BTN could also be involved in financing excise tax. "If BTN can be the guardian of the excise tax, it would be very good. East Java has an excise duty value of Rp 155 trillion," he said.
