Former Chairwoman of the Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), who was also known as a pop singer, Nada Faza Soraya, reportedly passed away on Wednesday (12/11) at 1:35 a.m. Western Indonesian Time at Awal Bros Hospital in Batam.

Her body will be buried at Menteng Pulo Cemetery. Before that, she will lie in state at the funeral home on Jalan Kenanga 71, Cilandak Timur, Jakarta.

The news of her passing came as a shock to many, especially her colleagues in the business and music world who knew her as an energetic woman.

During her lifetime, Nada Faza Soraya was known as a strong woman. In addition to being active in the business world and leading Kadin Batam, she also pursued a career in entertainment as a pop singer, releasing a duet album with Hanny Tuheteru titled ‘Hanya Kamu’ in 1989.

Her career in music did not last long as she also ventured into the business world.

One of the business leaders expressed his deep sorrow over her passing.

‘She was a female figure in Batam who had been contributing to the business world alongside the government by submitting proposals and policies in Batam,’ said the Chairman of Kadin Batam, Jadi Rajagukguk.

The Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry invited her to its final event, the Batam Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2025 Executive Meeting and Halal Bi Halal Gathering with Mrs. Sri Darsono on Thursday (24/4) at the Santika Hotel Batam.

The event served as a final gathering to remember the deceased. Nada Faza Soraya was known as a kind person who always respected her seniors.
