Kadin Riau Islands Province’s 5th Provincial Conference Appoints Nur Mustava as Chairman for the 2026–2031 Term

Tanjungpinang - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Riau Islands Province (Kepri) held its 5th Provincial Conference (Musprov V) at Aston Hotel, Tanjungpinang, on Saturday (January 3, 2026).

During the conference, Nur Mustava was officially elected by acclamation as Chairman of Kadin Riau Islands Province for the 2026–2031 term, succeeding Akhmad Ma’ruf Maulana.

Vice Chairman for Organization, Communication, and Regional Empowerment (OKP) of Kadin Indonesia, Erwin Aksa, who attended the event representing Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, described the leadership transition as a positive step toward regeneration for the business community in the Riau Islands.

"I am grateful that Mr. Ma’ruf has guided Kadin Riau Islands Province for 10 years, or two consecutive terms. Now, a new generation has emerged Mr. Mustava who will continue Kadin’s mission in the Riau Islands," Erwin said.

Meanwhile, newly elected Chairman of Kadin Riau Islands Province, Nur Mustava, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the trust placed in him.

He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing and strengthening various strategic programs initiated by the previous leadership.

“One of the programs we will continue to promote is BBK Murah (Batam, Bintan, Karimun Affordable Prices), as its benefits have been directly felt by both the public and business actors,” he said.

Mustava noted that the current economic conditions in the Riau Islands are showing a positive trend, particularly supported by Batam and Bintan.

In the aviation sector, he also highlighted the rapid growth of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry in Batam, especially Batam Aero Technic, a subsidiary of Lion Group, which currently operates 29 lines and serves aircraft from various countries across Southeast Asia.

“This demonstrates that MRO services in Batam not only meet domestic needs but are also competitive at the ASEAN level,” Mustava concluded.

Also in attendance were Akhmad Ma’ruf Maulana, Chairman of Kadin Riau Islands Province for the 2014–2019 and 2020–2025 periods and currently Vice Chairman for Special Economic Zones, Industrial Estates, and National Strategic Projects of Kadin Indonesia, as well as Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad.
