The Government of South Sumatra (South Sumatra) is collaborating with Kadin Sumsel to carry out various joint activities for the welfare of the community and the business world. In this regard, Pj Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni received an audience with the Chairman of Kadin Sumsel, Affandi Udji and his staff at Griya Agung Palembang, Monday (1/3/2024).

Fatoni said Kadin is an organisation that has great strength and has a strategic role. Therefore, Kadin is expected to be a government partner in building and publicising the good image of South Sumatra.

The South Sumatra Provincial Government invites Kadin to be involved in the preparation of the "BERES" (Together Entaskan Stunting) Kick Off Activity, in line with the programme that has been launched by the Government, namely the South Sumatra Simultaneous Stunting Handling Movement (GPSSS). Therefore, it is hoped that the two programmes can be synergised so that the handling of stunting in South Sumatra is more effective and coordinated.

Fatoni said that the South Sumatra Provincial Government has other simultaneous movements that have been launched, including the South Sumatra Simultaneous Inflation Control Movement, the South Sumatra Simultaneous Cheap Market Movement, the South Sumatra Simultaneous House Surgery Movement, and the South Sumatra Simultaneous Sanitation Development Movement.

"These simultaneous movements will unite us all to work together in order to improve the welfare of the people of South Sumatra," said Fatoni.

Chairman of Kadin Sumsel, Affandi Udji, conveyed the plan to organise Kadin Expo 2024. In particular, the event will highlight the image of South Sumatra Coffee with various variations to be introduced and promoted to the wider community.

During the hearing, Affandi also requested that the Pj. The Governor of South Sumatra can issue a circular letter related to the membership of Kadin members, which is expected that all business actors can register themselves as Kadin members.

"We have a proposal from the Governor to issue a circular letter, giving an appeal to cooperatives, MSMEs, and other business actors to become Kadin members," he said.
