London, United Kingdom - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto attended a business and investment forum, followed by a luncheon hosted by UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, at Lancaster House, London, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. President Prabowo’s presence at the forum reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening strategic economic and investment cooperation with the United Kingdom.
The forum featured an introduction session for UK business delegations, facilitated by the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham), followed by an introduction of the Indonesian business delegation led by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia). This session served as a strategic platform to connect business leaders from both countries and to open opportunities for concrete cooperation in trade, investment, industry, and technology.
The forum continued with an interactive question-and-answer session between business leaders and President Prabowo. During the session, the President listened directly to the aspirations, perspectives, and investment interests of participating companies, while also responding to various issues and potential areas of cooperation raised by the business community. The dialogue reflected strong enthusiasm from the private sector regarding Indonesia’s development direction and economic policy outlook.
Concluding the forum, UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and President Prabowo Subianto joined delegates and invited guests for a group photo session at the Grand Staircase of Lancaster House, marking the close of the business and investment forum and luncheon.
