Pekanbaru - The Riau Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Riau) officially held its 2025 Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov), themed “Kadin Riau and the Provincial Government Advancing Economic Growth in the Land of Lancang Kuning,” at the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru on Wednesday (November 19, 2025).
Kadin Indonesia’s Deputy Chair for Organizational Affairs, Taufan Eko Nugroho, who attended on behalf of Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, stated that Kadin Indonesia aims to accelerate national economic development, including in Riau. Taufan noted that cross-sector synergy is essential to expanding employment opportunities.
"We want to strengthen the business ecosystem, including through collaboration with academia and various stakeholders. Our focus is on implementing four key programs: MBG, free health checkups, renovation of uninhabitable homes, and the empowerment of migrant workers," Taufan explained.
According to him, migrant workers deserve special attention, as they contribute not only domestically but also abroad.
"We want to improve the quality of migrant workers while simultaneously expanding employment opportunities to enhance public welfare," he added.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kadin Riau, Masuri, emphasized that the 2025 Rapimprov marks an important momentum for preparing more targeted and sustainable future programs.
He noted that Kadin Riau also plans to collaborate with various universities to establish the Kadin Institute, which is expected to launch early next year.
"We want to nurture a generation that truly understands the world of work. Through the Kadin Institute, students will receive direct exposure and training from industry, making them better prepared to enter the workforce," said Masuri.
The 2025 Rapimprov also featured a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between Kadin, Eka Hospital, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau as a form of strengthened synergy between the business community and educational institutions.
