CEICE Exhibition Collaborates with Kadin East Java to Hold Building Material Exhibition

Business actors from China, Chief Executive Officer of CEICE Exhibition, Ruth Hsudari visited the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) to explore cooperation in holding a Building Material Exhibition in Surabaya.

During her visit, she expressed the interest of Chinese business people to hold an exhibition of building materials in the city of Surabaya. "We see, so far there has been no large building material exhibition held in Surabaya. And we are very interested, especially since the potential of Surabaya is very large,” said Ruth Hsudari at Graha Kadin Jatim, Surabaya, Friday (6/14/2024).

She revealed, so far business people in Surabaya who want to find imported building material products from China have to go there first to see and ensure the quality of building materials and prices. With the presence of the exhibition to be held, business people from East Java can directly see in Surabaya.

“If usually Indonesian entrepreneurs who are looking for building material products go to China, then we facilitate in Surabaya so they don't have to go all the way to China,” he said.

In order for the exhibition not to deviate from what businesses need, he made a visit to the East Java Kadin hoping to get information on what kind of building materials are needed by businesses in East Java, especially Surabaya. “We want to get input, what kind of building materials exhibition is more interesting, whether it can be concentrated on several building materials or all building materials,” he said.

Vice Chairman of Services and Foreign Trade of Kadin East Java, Prof. Tommy Kaihatu, expressed his enthusiasm and welcomed their wishes. He said there were not many building material exhibitions held in Surabaya, let alone exhibitions held by business people from China directly.

"So our hope is that there are more choices and not concentrated on a few products. This will be an opportunity for cooperation between business people in East Java and Chinese business people. Moreover, the potential for trade in building materials in East Java is very large because Surabaya is the hub of eastern Indonesia so that most people outside the island see and look for their needs in Surabaya,” said Prof. Tommy.

On the same occasion, CEO of PT Gajah Mada Sukses Tritunggal (Gajah Mada stone), Fanny Lia Sutanto who also attended the meeting also welcomed their wishes, especially for business to business (b to b) cooperation.

Gajah Mada Stone is a building materials industry engaged in marble and granite wholesaler domiciled in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, has several branches in East Java, Kalimantan and Bali.

"We also provide marble from Indonesia from Makassar which has market potential abroad. Because we have market potential in the building industry, we hope to work together as a channel distributor in Indonesia, especially in East Java and eastern Indonesia,” he concluded.
