Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Arsjad Rasjid visited Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Makassar to discuss educational development cooperation.

During his visit, Arsjad, who is also a trustee council (MWA) of Unhas and Co-Founder of 5P Global Movement, carried out 3 main agendas, namely filling in the introduction to campus life talk show for new students (PKKMB), handing over 5P scholarships, and inaugurating the Arsjad Rasjid Lecture Theatre. According to him, it is an honour to be able to contribute to the world of education.

‘This is a joint effort to ensure that every child can access quality education, inclusive education for a better futures,’ said Arsjad in the event which took place at the JK Arenatorium Unhas GOR, Tamalanrea Campus (12/8/2024).

One of the important moments in this event was the delivery of tuition assistance in the form of Endowment Fund Scholarships which is part of Unhas' commitment. Scholarships are given to 17 selected students from each faculty as an appreciation for their achievements and contributions.

On the same occasion, there was also the handover of the 5P Scholarship initiated by the Chairman of Kadin Indonesia to 5 selected students.

The 5P Scholarship aims to empower students with financial support that allows them to focus on their studies and self-development.

The programme also includes comprehensive training in leadership, communication, and innovation, to ensure scholarship recipients are ready to contribute to society.

In addition, Arsjad also inaugurated the ‘Arsjad Rasjid Lecture Theatre’, a new educational facility that is expected to become a centre of innovation and creativity for students.

The Lecture Theatre is designed to provide an adequate space for Unhas students to develop new ideas, collaborate, and conduct research in various scientific fields.

With these various supports, Uhnas further strengthens its commitment to produce a superior and competitive young generation at the national and international levels.

New Unhas students can not only live campus life better, but also be able to develop their potential to become future leaders who are innovative and have integrity.
