Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, held a Socialization Meeting on the 2025 Selection of Ad-Hoc Judges for the Industrial Relations Court, which took place at the Kadin Indonesia Tower on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
This initiative reflects the principle of balanced justice and serves as a form of structural representation within the national labor law system.
Ananda Arthanelly, Head of Legal and Human Rights Infrastructure at Kadin Indonesia, representing Aziz Syamsudin, Vice Chairman for Legal and Human Rights Infrastructure, stated that the national need has reached 180 Ad-Hoc Judges in 2025, underlining the critical role of this institution in maintaining industrial relations stability.
“Kadin appreciates the transparency and objectivity of the selection process carried out by the Ministry of Manpower and the Supreme Court,” said Ananda, commonly known as Nanda.
She added that Kadin hopes the selected Ad-Hoc Judges will serve as a bridge of communication and trust between workers and employers, especially amid the rapidly evolving legal and industrial landscape.
“We hope this year’s selection process will result in Ad-Hoc Judges who are not only legally competent but also capable of strengthening communication and trust between the labor and business sectors,” Nanda explained.
The registration for Ad-Hoc Judge candidates remains open until October 4, 2025, and will be followed by a selection process that includes administrative screening, medical exams, psychological assessments, and final interviews.
Meanwhile, Anton Hardianto, Executive Director for the Empowerment of Arbitrators, Conciliators, and Ad-Hoc Judges at the Directorate of Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement, Ministry of Manpower, expressed his appreciation for Kadin’s active involvement as a strategic business organization in supporting private sector representation in the industrial relations judicial system.
Anton emphasized that Ad-Hoc Judge candidates must demonstrate high integrity, professionalism, competence, and possess adequate backgrounds whether as entrepreneurs, human resource managers, academics, or industrial relations practitioners. The selection is open to all backgrounds, with applicants required to be between 30 to 56 years of age and hold at least a bachelor’s degree (S1) in any discipline.
“In terms of substance, it’s not too complicated even those without a legal background can apply, as long as they meet the requirements, including the minimum age of 30,” Anton noted.
Also attending the meeting virtually was Kilit Laing, Chairman of Kadin North Kalimantan Province.
As a reminder, registration for Ad-Hoc Judge candidates is open until October 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM (WIB) and can be accessed via the official portal: ssjhphi.kemenaker.go.id
