Palembang - The 3rd South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Expo officially opened on Tuesday (21/10/2025) at Transmart Palembang, South Sumatra. The grand event was inaugurated by Anindya Novyan Bakrie, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, alongside South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru.
The presence of central Kadin Indonesia leaders underscores full support for the development of the business sector in the region.
Anindya, also known as “Anin,” who attended with Kadin Indonesia officials, encouraged the expo participants and emphasized the importance of collaboration between local governments and businesses in facing global economic challenges.
“We are here to ensure that Kadin Indonesia’s programs align with regional development priorities. South Sumatra has tremendous potential, and through this event, Kadin is committed to fostering new entrepreneurs and advancing the local business ecosystem,” said Anin.
Affandi Udjie, Chairman of Kadin South Sumatra, added that this year’s expo carries a more strategic mission. “Following the opening, we will hold the Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) to update business sector developments ahead of 2026,” he explained.
“Our main target through Kadin initiatives is to create as many new entrepreneurs as possible in South Sumatra. Kadin South Sumatra is ready to synergize, collaborate, and work toward regional business advancement,” Affandi added.
Governor Herman Deru expressed high appreciation for Kadin South Sumatra’s consistency in organizing the expo as a driver of regional economic growth.
“The 3rd Kadin South Sumatra Expo is not just an exhibition; it serves as a platform for our SMEs, a job creation hub through the Job Fair, and a concrete effort to curb inflation via the Affordable Food Movement,” said Governor Herman.
After the opening ceremony, Kadin Indonesia’s Chairman and the Governor, accompanied by Affandi Udjie, toured the exhibition booths, including SME stands and the Affordable Food Movement area, which provided 3,000 basic food packages at affordable prices.
They also witnessed the inauguration of the SPPG (Nutrition Service Fulfillment Unit) for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, an important part of this year’s expo. The 3rd Kadin South Sumatra Expo is scheduled to run until 24 October 2025.
