St. Petersburg – The Agriculture Division of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) has officially signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the St. Petersburg Export Center as a strategic step toward strengthening economic cooperation, investment, trade, and human capital development between Indonesia and the Russian Federation.
The MoUs were signed in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Tuesday (June 23, 2026), by Devi Erna Rachmawati, Vice Chairwoman for Agriculture of Kadin Indonesia and Chairwoman of the Indonesian NEXTANI Association, together with Matvey K. Medvedev, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the St. Petersburg Export Center.
The partnership focuses on developing training programs, facilitating investment, supporting business development, exchanging market information, expanding business networks, and promoting trade between Indonesia and Russia. Through this collaboration, both parties are committed to creating new opportunities for Indonesian and Russian businesses to expand market access and strengthen bilateral trade relations.
The scope of cooperation includes modern agricultural training, capacity building for farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs, investment exploration in the agricultural sector, agribusiness development, and the promotion of agricultural trade between the two countries.
"We hope this partnership will create greater investment opportunities, expand market access for Indonesian products, enhance human resource capacity, and strengthen economic and trade relations between Indonesia and Russia, particularly through St. Petersburg as one of the Russian Federation's key economic hubs," said Devi, who also serves as President of the Indonesia Eurasia International Council (IEIC).
Devi added that both parties also plan to organize a series of follow-up initiatives, including business forums, business matching sessions, training programs, business missions, and trade promotion activities involving businesses, investors, and stakeholders from both countries.
"The signing of these agreements marks an important milestone in strengthening Indonesia–Russia economic relations while supporting greater trade, investment, and sustainable cooperation in the agricultural sector between our two countries," Devi concluded.
