Jakarta, 11 October 2025 - The Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025 embraced a meaningful and visually distinctive approach by using bamboo as the central design element throughout the forum. This choice goes beyond aesthetics—it reflects the forum’s core values of sustainability and resilience.
As a fast-growing, low-carbon, and versatile natural material native to Indonesia, bamboo serves as a living symbol of sustainability. Its ability to grow rapidly without depleting soil quality represents a regenerative approach to development. At the same time, its strength and flexibility symbolize resilience, the capacity to endure and adapt amid pressure and change.
“We chose bamboo because it grows quickly, has a low carbon footprint, and is highly versatile. These characteristics reflect the core philosophy of ISF. We want Indonesia and the world to grow rapidly, be resilient, and remain sustainable,” said Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
Through this visual representation, ISF encourages all stakeholders to move beyond ideas and dialogue—and to work together toward real, tangible change for the planet and for future generations.
With its overarching theme, “Investing in a Resilient, Sustainable, and Prosperous World,” ISF 2025 reaffirms Indonesia’s commitment to a development path centered on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration—just like bamboo, which grows strong, bends without breaking, and continues to give life.
