Andi Iwan Darmawan Re-Elected as Chairman of South Sulawesi Kadin for the 2026–2031 Term

Bulukumba - The South Sulawesi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Sulsel) held its 8th Provincial Conference (Muprov VIII) at Hakuna Matata Resort in Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, on Saturday, 13 June 2026.

During the conference, Andi Iwan Darmawan Aras was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of Kadin South Sulawesi for the 2026–2031 term.

In his remarks, Andi expressed gratitude to the entire Kadin South Sulawesi family for the trust and mandate entrusted to him.

“This trust is not only for me personally, but it is a great mandate that we must carry out together for the advancement of the business world and the economy of South Sulawesi,” said Andi.

He emphasized that under his leadership, Kadin South Sulawesi would become an open, adaptive organization capable of serving as a collaborative platform for all business actors without exception.

“Kadin is ready to become a strategic partner of the government and all stakeholders in accelerating regional economic development. We believe that synergy is the main key to creating strong economic growth, expanding investment, creating jobs, and improving public welfare,” Andi stated.

Andi further noted that South Sulawesi has significant potential across various strategic sectors, including trade, industry, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, energy, and the creative economy, all of which must be managed optimally through strong cooperation between the business sector and the government.

“Through Kadin South Sulawesi, we will strive to present concrete programs that have a direct impact on improving business competitiveness, strengthening MSMEs, and developing investments that provide benefits to the wider community. Kadin must be present as a solution and a driving force for regional economic progress,” said Andi Iwan.

He also invited all Kadin regency/city administrators, business associations, and all elements of the business community to set aside differences and unite in building a stronger organization.

“Let us make this Provincial Conference a starting point to strengthen unity and collaboration. There are no more barriers; what exists is a shared spirit to advance South Sulawesi. With togetherness and concrete action, I am confident that Kadin South Sulawesi will contribute even more to regional development and national progress,” Andi concluded.

The event was attended by M. Azis Syamsuddin, Coordinating Vice Chairman for Law, Human Rights, and Infrastructure of Kadin Indonesia, representing Chairman of Kadin Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie; Vice Chairman for Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko; Vice Chairman for Membership Widiyanto Saputro; and Vice Chairman for Regional Autonomy Sarman Simanjorang.
