Anindya Bakrie Supports Entrepreneurship Development to Achieve 8% Growth at North Sumatra Rapimprov

Medan, North Sumatra – The North Sumatra Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held its Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) themed “Growing Investment, Advancing Regions,” with the sub-theme “Collaboration Between Kadin and Regional Governments to Realize Investment Ease, Economic Resilience, and Competitiveness of Regional Halal Products.” The event took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the North Sumatra Fair, Medan, on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, who attended the event, noted that North Sumatra has great potential and occupies a strategic position in the national economy. He also emphasized the importance of increasing the number of entrepreneurs to support the government’s target of 8 percent economic growth.

“I see the strong relationship and cooperation between the provincial government and Kadin North Sumatra as an important asset. Moreover, the chairman (Firsal Dida Mutyara) is working to unite various elements to encourage entrepreneurship growth,” Anin, as he is commonly known, said.

“We already have many good programs; it’s now a matter of improving their implementation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kadin North Sumatra Chairman Firsal Dida Mutyara reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to making North Sumatra a leading investment gateway in western Indonesia, while supporting the vision of “Golden Indonesia 2045.”

“We want every business activity in North Sumatra to have a tangible impact on the broader community. This is the business sector’s contribution to national progress,” said Dida, as he is familiarly known.

During the same occasion, Kadin North Sumatra also held the North Sumatra Investment, Industry, Trade & Halal Expo (NSIIHE) 2025, alongside KadinFest, which ran for three days from October 11-13, 2025.

Dida explained that NSIIHE 2025 is the result of collaboration between Kadin North Sumatra and the provincial government, continuing the momentum of the Mendadak Festival held in September.

“Through this Expo, we aim to create a collaborative space for entrepreneurs, domestic and international investors, policymakers, and MSME actors. This is not just an exhibition, but a moment to stimulate new investment and economic growth in North Sumatra,” Dida said.

The NSIIHE 2025 featured a wide range of activities, including halal seminars, MSME bazaars, affordable food programs, and public entertainment for the people of North Sumatra.

Dida expressed hope that the event would serve as a tangible platform to strengthen synergy between the government, businesses, and society.

“We believe that synergy among stakeholders can strengthen North Sumatra’s economy,” he concluded.

The event was attended by North Sumatra Governor M. Bobby Afif Nasution, Kadin Indonesia Vice Chairman for Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, Head of Kadin Indonesia’s MBG Gotong Royong Task Force Chandra Tirta Wijaya, Kadin Regional Office I Vice Chairman Ivan Iskandar Batubara, and Chairman of the Regional Representative Council Sultan Bachtiar Najamuddin.
