Mimika – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, carried out an official working visit to Papua, attending the Provincial Leadership Meeting (Rapimprov) of Central Papua Kadin at Timika Futsal Hall on Saturday (18/10/2025).
During the event, Anin officially inaugurated the 2025–2030 board of Central Papua Kadin, urging the organization to become a key driver of economic growth in eastern Indonesia.
“Kadin is active not only in mining but also in industry, agriculture, plantations, livestock, and fisheries. All these potentials exist in Central Papua,” Anin said. He also reaffirmed Kadin’s support for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, highlighting the importance of balancing economic growth with social development.
Alexander Gobai, Chairman of Central Papua Kadin, emphasized that the new leadership marks an economic revival rooted in natural resources and community collaboration. “Our goal is to transform our wealth into human prosperity—thriving farmers, fishermen, and MSMEs,” he said.
Anin also visited West Papua, meeting Governor Dominggus Mandacan to discuss strategic programs including fishing village initiatives, MBG, agriculture, trade, and investment. He stressed the importance of regional Kadin and provincial government synergy to expand employment and cultivate local entrepreneurs.
During his visit, Anin inspected MBG Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) in West Papua, praising the hygiene and quality of meals provided. He concluded the Papua trip with a dinner meeting with Governor Matius D. Fakhiri in Jayapura, strengthening collaboration between Kadin Indonesia, regional Kadin, and local governments to accelerate equitable economic growth across Papua.
