Anindya Bakrie Sets Three Key Recommendations at the 2026 Kadin National Leadership Meeting and Promotes Buy from Indonesia to Strengthen National Trade

Jakarta – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) has outlined three key recommendations from the 2026 Kadin National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) as concrete steps for the business community to help maintain national economic stability and growth.

Chairman of Kadin Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie said the three recommendations, which will subsequently be submitted to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, focus on strengthening economic buffers to withstand global shocks, ensuring the availability of raw materials for production, and enhancing business certainty to improve Indonesia’s competitiveness in international markets.

Anindya, popularly known as Anin, explained that the first recommendation is to strengthen economic buffers to address global shocks. This effort involves maintaining business cash flow, the fiscal conditions of both the central and regional governments, and household purchasing power to ensure that people's businesses and industries maintain strong market absorption.

"What do these buffers entail? First, maintaining business cash flow, as well as the country's fiscal condition, including regional finances, and household purchasing power, so that people's businesses and industries can maintain strong market absorption," Anin said during the closing of the 2026 National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas), themed "Kadin's Role in the People's Economy for a Globally Competitive Indonesia," with the subtheme "Empowering MSMEs to Move Up the Value Chain, Building a Higher-Quality Indonesian Economy," at Hotel Borobudur, Central Jakarta, on Friday (October 30, 2026).

In addition to strengthening economic buffers, Anin highlighted two other crucial priorities, one of which is ensuring the availability of raw materials. This involves maintaining a stable supply of industrial raw materials to support and improve national export performance.

The third recommendation is to strengthen business certainty so that Indonesia can become more competitive in global markets. Anin noted that Indonesia had recorded a trade surplus of US$7 billion this year. However, opportunities to expand trade through the establishment of new trade agreements must also be pursued.

"Kadin is promoting the strengthening of trade and investment through the slogans 'Buy from Indonesia' and 'Buy Indonesia'," Anin said.

Kadin also introduced its 5D strategy, which comprises fiscal discipline and decentralization, deregulation, debottlenecking, Danantara as an enabler, and support for helping MSMEs move up the value chain.

The second day of the 2026 Kadin National Leadership Meeting featured several speakers from the government, including Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of Industry Muhammad Sarmuji, and Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara.

In addition to discussions and strategic deliberations, Kadin also facilitated free breast cancer screenings throughout the Rapimnas, held on October 29–30, 2026. The initiative was conducted by SELANGKAH (Semangat Lawan Kanker) by Siloam, in collaboration with Kadin Indonesia and the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI), as part of efforts to raise awareness and improve access to early breast cancer detection.

The event was also sponsored by Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food, Lippo Group, Bakrie Center Foundation, PT Danayasa Arthatama Tbk (SCBD), Yayasan Artha Graha Peduli, Artha Graha Group, Bank Artha Graha Internasional, PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development Tbk, PT Astra International Tbk, PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk, PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, PT Freeport Indonesia, Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk, Wiraraja Madura Industrial Estate III, Bluebird Group, PT Anindya Wiraputra Konsult, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Amazon Web Services Indonesia/PT Mastersystem Infotama Tbk, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), PT Bank Mandiri, the Association of Ceramic Industries (ASAKI), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Syam & Syam Law Office, PLN Icon Plus, PT Bosowa, Dayak Nusantara Bersatu, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero), PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero), AdaKami, and Tigalapan Investama Group.
