The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold a dialogue with presidential candidates with the theme "Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045" on Thursday, 11 January 2024, at the Ballroom, Djakarta Theater, Jakarta.

The event will last a full day. Kadin has invited the three presidential and vice presidential candidates and is planned to fill in each session. From the existing schedule, it is known that pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar will appear first at around 11.00-13.00 WIB. Followed by pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming at 16.00-18.00 WIB. And, closed by candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD around 19.00-21.00 WIB.

"This is not a debate forum, but as entrepreneurs, of course we want to know more clearly the vision of the President-Vice President Candidates who will 'compete' in the 2024 Presidential Election in encouraging Indonesia's economic growth," said Diana Dewi, Chairperson of KADIN DKI Jakarta.

According to her, the dialogue was held to find out how the presidential candidates see Indonesia's economic growth and projections as well as what aspects they will focus on if they lead the Republic of Indonesia.

"Later, each presidential candidate will clearly explain their vision of the economy which is certainly related to the world of business, investment, and so on," said Diana.

Through this dialogue, she added, entrepreneurs gathered in Kadin can have an idea of what will be done in the future. "We hope this dialogue can open up the country's economic vision, targets and things that will be done in the future," said Dewi.

According to her, whoever the President of Indonesia is elected, Kadin will continue to synergise with the government and do things together to encourage a good economic turnaround for this nation.

According to her, to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045, a strong, firm and rational vision of the leader is needed.

"Hopefully this event can run successfully and entrepreneurs can get input from the presidential candidates regarding the economic achievements that are projected to occur in their leadership," concluded Diana Dewi.
