The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) will hold the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) at JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta, on 3-5 August 2023.
ICEF carries the theme "Free Shopping for Domestic Products" with the tagline "Become a Hero in Your Own Country by Shopping for Domestic Products", this first-time event aims to encourage the optimisation of domestic product spending (PDN) through the use of electronic catalogues (e-catalogue).
This is in line with Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2022 to the Head of the Government Goods / Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP), that national businesses that produce quality and competitive products and services must continue to be encouraged to accelerate business escalation through the creation of a conducive shopping climate for domestic products by government agencies, institutions, BUMN / BUMD that use the APBN and APBD.
According to data released by LKPP, currently the number of products that have been included in the e-catalogue has reached 5,586,517 products. The increasing number of providers included in the e-catalogue will certainly create a more competitive market, as long as the products are actually purchased by ministries, institutions, SOEs, provincial, city and district governments.
ICEF was presented as an effort, in addition to encouraging the optimisation of the use of Electronic Catalogues, also to support the acceleration of the construction and development of IKN Nusantara 2024 through the procurement of goods and services.
"We need hard efforts to continue to increase economic growth with the potential budget through LKPP being encouraged to buy domestic products," said Head of LKPP, Hendrar Prihadi.
He said ICEF 2023 would also make it easier for the government to get new references for goods and services providers, including updates on information and technology on the best domestic products and services, as well as a business meeting place for goods and services providers with the government.
According to him, the expo will provide more opportunities for government agencies in Indonesia, in this case Ministries/Institutions (K/L) and Local Governments (Pemda), who are looking for and need the best domestic products and services. ICEF 2023 will also serve as a platform for socialisation and literacy related to Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification and more.
To achieve the target of Rp 500 trillion worth of transactions from 5 million products in e-catalogue by 2023, Kadin Indonesia together with LKPP are ready to work together to encourage capable and competitive business lines to take part in e-catalogue and contribute maximally to national economic growth.
Through this collaboration, Pojka Kadin-LKPP conducted socialisation and Technical Guidance on Boarding Electronic Catalogue Business Actors. In addition, conducting tutorial workshops to make it easier for Kadin Indonesia members including MSMEs, as well as from provincial Kadin, business associations can directly enter or on boarding into the LKPP e-catalogue.
"As a forum for Indonesian entrepreneurs, it is time for Kadin Indonesia to be more active in helping and equalising the nation's economy in order to realise a healthy and orderly national economy and business world based on article 33 of the 1945 Constitution," said Kadin Indonesia Chairman Arsjad Rasjid.
