Lanzhou, China - The Aceh Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Aceh) has taken a progressive step to promote the realization of strategic sector investments through a visit to several leading industrial zones in Lanzhou, China, from March 30 to April 4, 2026.
The visit covered modern dairy processing industries in Lanzhou, fruit juice processing facilities, and a high-tech integrated poultry farm in Xi’an. It also explored opportunities for investment collaboration, technology transfer, and the strengthening of agro-industrial supply chains.
Chairman of Kadin Aceh, Muhammad Iqbal Piyeung, stated that during the meetings, Chinese counterparts presented modern production systems driven by efficiency and technology, while Kadin Aceh offered the potential for integrated and sustainable downstream development of natural resources.
“This initiative is also driven by the real needs in Aceh, which continues to face supply constraints for several strategic commodities such as chicken meat, eggs, and milk—both to support national programmes and to meet public demand,” Iqbal said.
Iqbal emphasized that strengthening domestic production sectors is key to maintaining price stability and regional food security.
He further noted that the visit would not stop at the exploratory stage. As a follow-up, 25 business and investment delegates from China are scheduled to visit Indonesia in the final week of April 2026. The delegation will be received by Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie in Jakarta before continuing their agenda in Aceh.
“Economic diplomacy through reciprocal visits is an important step to accelerate investment realization,” Iqbal added.
According to him, this process is part of advancing preparations for the development of strategic industries in Aceh, particularly modern dairy processing plants and integrated poultry farming.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of Kadin Aceh, Teuku Jailani, called on all stakeholders to strengthen productive sectors as the foundation for regional economic revival.
“Strengthening these sectors is key to creating jobs, reducing unemployment, and building sustainable economic independence in Aceh,” Teuku concluded.
Also present during the visit were Executive Director of Kadin Indonesia Pipin Moh. Saeful Arifin, Vice Chairman for Investment of Kadin Aceh TAF Haikal, and Kadin Aceh representatives for Malaysia, China, and India, Melissa Tan.
