Supporting the 3 Million Homes Program, Kadin Prepares Assistance in Research and Management

Jakarta -The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the digitalization of the construction and housing sectors as part of the strategy to realize the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.

This statement was delivered by Wirawan, Kadin Indonesia’s Vice Chairman for Regional Potential Strengthening, during a talkshow titled “Smart Construction and Housing: Digitalizing Procurement Towards an Advanced Indonesia 2045,” held as part of the Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum (ICEF) and Indonesia Procurement Forum & Expo (IPFE) 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Wirawan emphasized that the transformation towards smart infrastructure is not only about physical aspects but also entails a shift in mindset and digital approaches in every stage of development.

“Smart infrastructure is absolutely necessary as it addresses current challenges. It involves how we think digitally, how we digitally connect logistics, and how we innovate digitally. All of these are encompassed within smart infrastructure,” Wirawan explained.

He also highlighted that this initiative aligns with the national development vision championed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

One of the major targets is the construction of three million housing units annually, which is a key priority program of the government.

“At the same time, this supports President Prabowo Subianto’s efforts in implementing Asta Cita,” he added.

Furthermore, Wirawan stressed Kadin’s active role in providing assistance to business actors, especially MSMEs and those in the housing sector. This support focuses on two main aspects: research and management.

“First, research assistance aims to increase added value and competitiveness among business players, ranging from fabrication, industrialization, to the end-users of these products,” he said.

On the management side, Wirawan stated that Kadin will help small and medium enterprises, including developers of affordable housing, to operate efficiently and productively.

According to him, efficiency in the procurement process will be key to achieving the ambitious target of three million housing units per year.

“Secondly, Kadin will provide management assistance to ensure that business actors, especially MSMEs and lower-tier housing developers, can achieve procurement efficiency,” Wirawan explained.

He also affirmed that Kadin will continue to make tangible contributions to the development of the construction, infrastructure, and housing sectors with an adaptive, digital-based approach.

“I believe Kadin will concretely carry out this assistance and continuously contribute to the business community and developers in realizing the goal of three million housing units per year,” he concluded.
