Jakarta - The Indonesia Halal Brands and Foods (IHBF) Expo 2026 will return on May 29–31, 2026, at NICE PIK 2, Jakarta. After a 10-year hiatus, the halal industry exhibition is expected to serve as a momentum for the revival of national halal products while expanding market access for MSMEs and Indonesia’s halal industry.
Minister of Trade Budi Santoso stated that the IHBF Expo is expected to become an important platform for strengthening national trade and the halal industry.
“I hope the IHBF Expo can become an important platform for strengthening national trade and the halal industry, while also providing market access for local halal products to become champions both domestically and globally,” Budi Santoso said in a statement regarding the IHBF Expo 2026 on Thursday (May 21, 2026).
Support also came from Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, who expressed appreciation for the organization of the halal expo. He said the halal industry exhibition is expected to help drive the people’s economy.
Chairperson of the IHBF Expo 2026 Organizing Committee, Rifda Ammarina who also serves as Vice Chairwoman for Marketing, Promotion, Innovation, and MSME Product Development at Kadin Indonesia said the IHBF Expo is being held again after it was last organized during the 2010–2016 period.
According to Rifda, this year’s exhibition will be held alongside the Java Jazz Festival 2026, which is expected to attract around 110,000 visitors. The IHBF Expo will provide a wide range of halal food and beverage products for both Java Jazz attendees and expo visitors.
Various businesses and institutions are confirmed to participate in the expo, ranging from the culinary, coffee, banking, and pharmaceutical sectors to halal certification bodies and regulators. Participants include Al Jazirah, Ayam Bumbu, Kopi Kapal Api, Kopi Kenangan, Bank Mandiri, Bank Syariah Indonesia, Kalbe Farma, BPJPH, LP POM MUI, and Baznas.
In addition to the halal product exhibition, IHBF Expo 2026 will also feature a fashion show, talk shows, free health check-up services, and financing access for MSME players. Several national figures are scheduled to attend, including the Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, five ministers, one deputy minister, one agency head, and national entrepreneur Sandiaga Uno.
Rifda said the IHBF Expo is expected to become a collaborative platform for all stakeholders in Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem to strengthen the position of Indonesian halal products in both domestic and global markets.
“For companies, this is the best time for branding and introducing their businesses. For MSMEs, this is the best time to trade. And for us, this is a momentum to strengthen collaboration so that Indonesian halal products can rise, grow, become champions in their own country, and go global,” Rifda said.
