Semarang – The Central Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Central Java) has reinforced its commitment to building a strategic partnership ecosystem aimed at enhancing the region’s economic competitiveness. This commitment is being realized through collaboration with Semarang University (USM) and the Central Java Chapter of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI Central Java) in organizing the prestigious USM Prasasta Gala Awards (PGA) 2026.
The strategic partnership was formalized through the signing of a joint statement at the Kadin Central Java Office on Papandayan Street, Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (June 9, 2026).
Chairman of Kadin Central Java, Harry Nuryanto Soediro, emphasized that Kadin’s active involvement is driven by the strategic interests of the business community.
"For the business sector, an award serves as both a motivator and a catalyst for creating strategic business impact, as it helps build trust and strengthen reputation among consumers, investors, and stakeholders," Harry said.
According to him, a credible award is more than a ceremonial event; it is an important instrument for motivating business actors and driving productivity growth at the regional level.
"We hope this opportunity will serve as a manifestation of collaborative efforts to promote higher productivity and competitiveness, leading to the advancement of a resilient and high-quality society in Central Java," he added.
Meanwhile, USM Rector Supari explained that higher education institutions must be able to move in step with the dynamics of the business world.
"This synergy brings together the pillars of academia, business, and the media, with Kadin serving as a contextual evaluator in the economic sector, while PWI acts as an anchor of public objectivity," Supari said.
Furthermore, PWI Central Java Chairman Setiawan Hendra Kelana highlighted the importance of this collaboration.
"When universities serve as incubators of ideas, the business sector acts as the engine of economic growth, and the media functions as the eyes of the public, their synergy will generate innovation and foster a stronger commitment to the nation’s interests," he concluded.
