Kadin Indonesia has received official information regarding the independent and personal decision taken by Arsjad Rasjid as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) to accept the position as Chairman of the National Winning Team (TPN) for one of the Presidential Candidates.
Arsjad Rasjid's decision is an independent decision and has no connection with Kadin Indonesia's position or views in politics. Kadin Indonesia is firmly committed to remain neutral and focus on organisational activities that have been well arranged.
"I took this decision with personal consideration and did not involve my organisational affairs in Kadin Indonesia," said Arsjad Rasjid.
By joining Arsjad as Chairman of TPN for one of the Vice Presidential Candidates, he will be temporarily absent effective Wednesday, 27 September 2023, and the implementation of daily operational responsibilities will be handed over to Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi as Kadin Indonesia's Daily Executive.
"With this decision, I will be temporarily absent as Chairman of Kadin Indonesia," said Arsjad.
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, who has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, respects the decision made by Arsjad Rasjid.
"Kadin Indonesia respects his decision to be temporarily absent and obeys the rules that apply in Kadin Indonesia. Kadin Indonesia must be free from conflict of interest," said Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi.
Kadin Indonesia will ensure and continue its role in carrying out the mandate of its members and all Indonesian people, promoting policies and initiatives that support economic growth and social welfare, in line with the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision based on the value of gotong royong for an advanced Indonesia.
